The park isn’t just fun in the winter! We took these photos are a park nearby which gave a real nice out door background.

Our Poster Photo Project!

We came across a really cool idea from Pinterest (link below) to make a large poster print and
decided to try it out.  However, we took it a step further and made a wood frame
for a print and wrapped it around the frame (like you would see in the canvas
wrap around prints that are becoming so popular).  Here is what we ended up

The photo is a macro Carina took of a Don Perignon label.   We took a closeup photo to show the quality of the print, which isn’t A+ quality, however, if you are on a budget, this isn’t bad!  Of course, the label has a lot of noise all ready in it, so some was expected and frankly added to the print.   Not to mention that this photo was taken with an iPhone.  This photo is 36” x 48” and cost a fraction of the price!

If your interested on the details or pricing, please head over to the Contact Us page!  Our next project will be a family photo to put above a large stair case.

A day downtown

Went downtown Chicago and took some photos. Here are a few:

Visited Navy Pier and had lunch. Had fun with the camera through a wine glass. Kayley was sitting on the other end of the table. Then it was the Shedd Aquarium the next day for more fun. I ❤ all things sea, so I was in heaven! My favorite was the Jellies exhibit. Having been stung by one when I was 13, I have a huge respect for them and their power. My Macro Project

Last year I purchased a new macro lens filter and set out to have some fun. I took some amazing photos but quickly realized macro photography can be very creative and challenging, especially if the subject you are trying to shoot isn’t stationary.

This is one of my recent projects to start displaying my work. I took this macro photo using my +4 filter on a 18-55 mm lens at f/5.6, 1/60th of a second, ISO 400. The subject is the label of my bottle of Don Perignon. I have blown it up to a 20×30 poster and framed it. It now resides in my dining room which is the first decorating piece in that room.  The picture below was taken with my iPhone, so please excuse the noise!
